Brussels job: Financial and Resource Manager at WIDE

WIDE is a European network of development NGOs, gender specialists and human rights activists. WIDE monitors and influences international economic and development policy and practice from a feminist perspective. WIDE's work is grounded on women's rights as the basis for the development of a more just and democratic world order.

Main task:

The Resource and Finance Manager has primary responsibility for the financial and resource management of the WIDE network and programme.

Overall responsibilities of the Financial and Resource manager include:

* Financial management and administration;
* Fundraising / Donor management (including reporting);
* Staff management.

Tasks include:

* Overall responsible of WIDE's financial management; liaison with WIDE Treasurer and administrative staff, accountant and auditors;
* Co-ordinates and implements WIDE's fundraising strategy;
* Responsible for WIDE's relationship with donors;
* Financial and narrative reporting to donors; as well as coordinating any other feedback required by donors from WIDE (evaluations, specific reports, etc);
* Supervision of audit and evaluation exercises;
* Staff contracts (TOR, coordination of recruitment, edit/amendment of contracts, salary package reviews, etc.);
* Reporting to SG meetings and other network entities as required;
* Liaison with Social Secretariat;
* Management and supervision of part-time administrative assistant;
* Undertake, within reason, any additional tasks, on request of the Coordinator, in order to ensure the smooth running of the operational plan and the efficient organisation of the work of WIDE.

Profile:

* You have at least 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management and administration in the non-profit sector and advanced education in business administration;
* You have a strong experience with fund-raising for the NGO sector;
* You have a good knowledge of Belgian legislation related to organisational and personnel administration;
* Fluent in English and French;
* Good working knowledge of MS Office, Internet, accounting programmes;
* You are able to work independently and able to take initiatives whilst you are also able and enjoy working in a team;
* You have a strong interest in women's organisations and the feminist movement and a good understanding of EU development and trade policies (desirable).

Other:

* Approximately Euro 3.017 per month gross (based on 100%), depending on experience;
* The position is envisaged for 80% (ie 30 hours/week, possibly rising to 100%, 37.5 hours/week);
* Candidates must be legally able to live and work in Belgium and must be able to travel internationally.

WIDE is not in a position to support relocation costs for this position.
